A sprinkling of micro brassy pyrite crystals is present throughout. A neat historical specimen with old labels from George English. Superb gem quality lustrous tapering blue transparent glassy terminated prismatic celestine crystal measuring 5.2 cm in length is coming nicely off a matrix of crystallized celestine. This main crystal is damage-free and complete all around. One of the celestine crystals on the matrix is broken off, away from the center and on the edge of the piece. Very fine and choice for this species! Size: 7.1 x 5.0 x 4.5 cm. Ex Lloyd Tate collection.

Gorgeous emerald green glassy lustrous crystals of dioptase to 1.2 cm in length, some double terminated, are scattered over a white crystallized calcite matrix. Measures 3.5 x 2.8 x 1.7 cm in size. One crystal on the bottom edge of the piece is chipped away from the center and off the edge of the matrix. Outside of this, which I find very minor, the piece is perfect. Great color constrast; a "little jewel"! Ex Lloyd Tate collection. Ref: Gebhard, G. (1999): Tsumeb II. A Unique Mineral Locality. GG Publishing, Grossenseifen, Germany, 328 p.

1230017) Fluorite - Planggenstock Mt., Göscheneralp, Göschenen Valley, Uri, Switzerland
Size: 7.2 x 6.6 x 4.0 cm (small cabinet)
Price: $ 4650

Some of the most prized fluorite specimens found are the pink octahedral crystals from the Alps in Switzerland. The loose "floater" matrix-less example shown above is beautiful. The color is a very hot rich pink throughout, with good translucency and transparency. The crystal faces are somewhat "matted" in appearance, typical of these large loose crystals from this locality. There is some contacting on what I would term the lower edge of the crystal. I can find two areas with very minor chipping present, but these extremely minimal and I do not feel detract from the piece at all. The crystal measures 7.2 x 6.6 x 4.0 cm in overall size. Previously in the Gene Meieran collection; this is an absolutely goregous and superb piece!

1065033) Fluorite - Weardale, North Pennines, Co. Durham, England, UK

A 6.6 x 5.7 x 4.0 cm grouping of lustrous translucent purple cubic fluorite crystals. Slight chipping is present as seen in the photos; overall I think this in pretty good condition damage-wise. Ex Steve Pullman collection. Ref: Symes & Young, Minerals of Northern England (2008).

A superb large cabinet old-time British fluorite consisting of a 16.0 x 10.0 x 6.5 cm matrix, this covered by twinned glassy partly transparent deep purple cubic fluorite crystals. The largest crystals measure to 2.0 cm on edge. Minor chipping is present throughout, not atypical of these. Overall the crystals are quite lustrous and the quality is very good. Ex Dawn and Jim Minette collection #WW235. This piece was part of the special Memorial Exhibit at the 2002 East Coast Gem and Mineral Show with label. Ref: Symes & Young, Minerals of Northern England (2008).

A brilliant lustrous beautiful crystallized grouping of native gold measuring approximately 4.6 x 2.1 cm, about 0.2 cm in thickness, this coming aesthetically off a quartz-rich matrix. The gold is finely crystallized all around and without damage. Brighter than as shown in the photos; very reflective of light and therefore difficult to photograph. Individual crystals measure to 0.3 cm. Very aesthetic and showy. Size; 6.0 x 4.0 x 1.8 cm. Ex Lloyd Tate collection. Ref: The Mineralogical Record: 35(1): 65-72.

Gorgeous highly lustrous sparkling botryoidal orange crystallized pyromorphite is covering both sides of a 5.5 x 4.2 x 2.3 cm matrix. These are partly overgrown with small greenish pyromorphite crystals. Neat with the two colors. One broken "sphere" of pyromorphite is present low on one side of the piece, otherwise perfect all around. The quality is very high. From the initial find in the early 1980's. Ex Chris Inskeep collection. Ref: The Mineralogical Record, 12(6),pp:339-347.

A beautiful pyromorphite miniature from this classic locality. Green lustrous barrel-shaped crystals of pyromorphite to 1.0 cm in length are thickly covering a first generation crystallization of pyromorphite, this as botryoidal crystallized orange-brown. Very neat with the two different types of crystallization and colors. From the front this is damage-free. The crystals wrap around the back of the piece and there is minor chipping low and on the back, out of view when displayed properly. This is visible in the photos. Measures 4.2 x 2.9 x 2.4 cm in size. An outstanding miniature! Ex Lloyd Tate collection. Ref: The Mineralogical Record: 12: 339-347. Ream, Lanny L. 2004. Idaho Minerals, 2nd edition, Revised and Updated, p.6.
